Hi Long time no blog..I have missed you all!!
Yes, a lot has happened in my life the last couple of weeks. Mount Morris and I have decided to get married. We have been talking about our commitment to each other for quite some time. Mount Morris got down on one knee in the snow last Thursday, January 15th, and proposed marriage. Mount Morris is someone I can live a long and happy life with along with my daughter. He did ask Chloe first before he asked me to marry me. I thought that was fantastic! I am in love and I am looking forward to a healthy happy marriage. Here is my ring….he picked it out himself.
We are thinking a November private ceremony..just the two of us and Chloe.
Here’s the letter my mom sent to me… please remember that my mom is 75 and from a different generation and that one of the comments below does NOT reflect my opinions on race and what-have-you.
Dear Kim,
I thought I would write to you, since you don’t answer my calls. I left a message this morning, but maybe you didn’t listen to it.
I can not afford to pay the u-haul storage bill any longer. I have my rent, car payment and insurance, utilities, taxes and food and medicine. You might want to go see if you want anything in there before they get rid of it. Family items are in some boxes and in the wicker chest is things of moms and dad’s mom and brother. I’m sending you the key to the unit.
I guess I’m dumb, but I don’t know what I done wrong. I thought I was helping you, but maybe not. Anyway I’m sorry for whatever happened to make you mad. You always wanted my opinion on things, maybe I was too strong with my words.
Anyway you are still my daughter and I still love you, and want the best for you. I pray everything is going OK, and that you are happy and well.
I’m OK, have a nice apartment. It’s not a very good area but OK, and I can afford it. Mike brought over the iron bed of dressers of Jessie’s. Wilma gave me a small TV and card table and 4 chairs to use in the kitchen. I got a sofa, chair and TV stand from salvation army. Cheap but OK. There are some blacks and good old bubba’s in my building, but they seem OK.
Well I hope you read this and know I didn’t mean to make you unhappy. Maybe things are best this way. I’m happy here, Wilma and I do a lot of things together. She likes to go to estate sales and have bought me some things I needed.
Well I’m watching the Chiefs, they are behind 16 to 0. Playing Carolina Panthers. Tell Chloe hi, and hell her I love her and miss her.
Stay well and healthy,
Love Momma
