So Yesterday I posted listener Jen’s Dating Spreadsheet, which received a lot of both positive and negative reaction. In my opinion, for those of you who think she’s cruel for making this sort of thing, I think you’re wrong. A dating spreadsheet isn’t for high schoolers, isn’t for people who are overly picky, and aren’t cold: they are realistic. When you’re having trouble finding the right guy or girl and aren’t sure why, it’s a great idea to evaluate your dates, which is all she was doing. That being said, here’s a check list of her dream man. THIS DOESN’T MEAN A GUY MUST MEET ALL CRITERIA, IT’S JUST A FUN LITTLE THING WE’VE ALL DONE… AND I MEAN ALL OF US, DON’T KID YOURSELVES. I mean how realistic can it be… she wants a guy who can fix stuff but has nice hands lol. Not happening, but we all dream…

1. Showed up in a PT Cruiser wearing a flannel, gave me a stuffed duck, but thank God he had two eyes. early May Dinner at Uno’s… Rating: 1
2. Maintaince guy. Appears to be dumb as a box of rocks. But that isn’t nice is it? Kinda cute though March? April? Never did anything but talk about how he was gonna call me and why he didn’t. Over and over. Lol Now he is trying to get my attention again…no chance. Rating: 3 only for being the first guy of the season to give me the flutters
3. 35, Professor at RIT, big guy, broken front tooth May Lunch at Distillery, really great guy…just didn’t seem to click, no attraction. Rating: 6
4. 33, little guy, looks like Matt Damon, showed me pics of ALL his lawn equipment, drugs his dog, akwardly held my hand + tried to kiss me 
May – June 13 Too much. Met for a drink at Mc Gregors, dinner at Distillery, movies and a beer (that one hurt) started at 7, ended at 4
5. 24, Young guy that I work with at the Grille, sax player May 23- June 6 Major sparks, lots of disappointment. Too young More disappiontment as time went on…completely turned off by the immature jerk now. Lol Saw Dan at the bar 7/31, had fun, danced and stuff…still so attracted!!! Gosh darn it all. 9/12 See Dan about once a week, flirty, sexy fun… unratable, no relationship potential
6. Mel’s “friend”, sweet, money, drunk 11-Jun Got drunk at Flags for Mel’s bday, felt weird when he kissed me 5
33, the cop, lol June 14-23 several dates within a week, nice guy, never made me laugh though, lol. No spark, tried to get together as friends a couple weeks later, he didn’t call back…moved to loser status. Texted me in Aug to see how me and the fam are doing. 8…down to 6
7. 37, Patient, likes chick flicks and girly drinks, engineer at Kodak, The $ Giver, socially akward at times. 6/26-7/19 2008 drinks at Distillery after work, lots of nights out, Nicole’s wedding. Spoiled me rotten. No attraction, kindof geeky, nice as can be, good friend Keeps emailing and texting, but I’m kindof over it. Invited him out with me 7/31/08, at this point he annoys me alot. Down to occasional emails now. 4 romantically/ 8 as a friend…6
8. 35 Chemisty.com, Environmental Engineer, cute, big guy, truck, SOBER due to DWI’s (I’m probably NOT the girl for him to be hanging around! Lol), very nice, seems very stable, not too exciting, likes outdoorsy stuff 14-Jul met for drinks (for me! Lol) at Hooligans 7/14, dinner at Pultneyville Grill 7/24 – was nice…still bored by him though, do I keep trying is the question??? Decided to let him go..haven’t told him yet. Emailed him the deal, he was ok about it. so far 6ish, but potential for growth
9. 40, Known around town for 15 years, cute, gearhead, works for Town of Webster, gave me a ride home 6/27. Asked for my # 7/12, called 7/23 6/27- Dinner at Olive Garden 7/25 Went as friends, not compatabile as a couple. Still see Kenny here and there, he is pretty dumb and thinks he is much cooler than he is. I liked him more when I knew him less. He is nice enough though. Rating: 5
10. 37, Met at Sodus Pt. 7/12, Construction Mgr, Truck, motorcycle, country boy. Very Social and active. Fun guy. 7/12/2008- longer I hope! 7/12 Put his arm around me and I was hooked. Paid for everyone’s drinks, asked me to dance a lot. Spent the whole night glued to each other. Cuddled, kissed. 7/20 Came to Darn’s to watch a movie…more cuddles and kisses. Waiting for a call. Still waiting…(he is in Indianapolis so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt at this point.) HASN’T CALLED. 9… let’s see if he can keep that rating! – didn’t keep the rating
11. 28, bartender at Capt. Jacks (ironically where I met New Dan) VERY cute! Tall, long hair, very smiley. met 7/12, flirted 7/26 He remembered my name from last time, gave me free drinks and kept winking at me. At the end of the night he said “So Jen, I’m thinking I should get your #.” Now I wait…texted me to go to a concert Mon an hour before the concert started + HASN’T CALLED since. There has been flirtatious texting here and there, but that’s it. He is fickle. Movin’ on… 8, very cute
12. 42, guy that owns our camp with my dad. Have know him since I was 7, we have be “close” friends for 15 years, cuddling and kissing. forever I will see him tonight! I Love Jeff, he is a sweetie and he adores me, but we are not right as a couple, unfortunately. The one big down fall is that I would be bored, he is a fun guy but lives a sheltered life up north. Spent the nights in his arms over July 4 weekend & Labor Day weekend, so cozy! eternal love and respect
13. 27, a-freakin-dorable, teacher in the city, Aug16-Sept Met him out watching my brother and sisters band, he called the next week and we met for drinks. Had a great time, some nice kisses. He didn’t call next time he was supposed to till a week later, I was busy. I called him a couple days later and haven’t heard back. New guy, same old story… 8 for attraction and potential, 5 for being a slacker
14. 35, from Tennessee, cute, wonderful sense of humor and ability to pay attention and flatter. Sweet and fun! 21-Aug Met him at Gran’s. We had an awesome time together. He gave me his number, we texted some about hanging out the next day. Came to a screeching halt when his wife called. Yeah. biggest bummer of them all cause I felt we fit so well.
15. 38 ish? Engineer. Set up by a friend, met with a group for Happy hour. 9/5/2008 -9/13 It’s a no. No attraction on my part. Though his tongue was wagging like a dog in heat. Went to a casual bbq, can tell he thinks there’s a romance brewing. Uh-oh, I don’t think that AT ALL. Had to tell him. 3, nice guy
16. late 30’s, met at Gran’s. He thought the guy I was talking to wasn’t good enough for me so tried to butt in. Skinny, not the best looking guy. Sept. 12-13 It was fun the first night, but the volume of calls and texts within 24 hours, and inability to take a hint is freaking me out a bit. a fearful 2
